According to the Guizhou Daily, from March 31 to April 1, Bingjun LI, the Deputy Secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee and the Governor of Guizhou Province conducted research visits to Renhuai City and Xishui County in Zunyi City. He emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement the important instructions made by President Xi Jinping during his inspection of Guizhou, vigorously promote the transformation and upgrading of characteristic advantageous industries, enable the building of the “six major industrial bases”, and construct a modern industrial system to provide strong support for Guizhou’s high-quality development and modernization construction. During the research visit, Bingjun LI chaired a symposium to listen to the opinions and suggestions of some enterprises on promoting the high-quality development of the Baijiu industry. He emphasized that in recent years, Guizhou has vigorously promoted the comprehensive rectification of the Baijiu industry (a batch of enterprises are eliminated by clean-up and rectification, a batch of enterprises are upgraded by on-site transformation, and a batch of enterprises are enlarged by mergers and reorganizations), achieving significant results in industrial transformation and upgrading, and providing strong support for the construction of a nationally important Baijiu production base and promoting economic development. It is necessary to further integrate advantageous resources, use existing resources and projects effectively and efficiently through market-oriented methods, continuously enrich consumption scenarios, promote the integrated development of fine Baijiu, beautiful scenery, and delicious food, and deeply promote the transformation from “selling Baijiu” to “selling lifestyle”.
